Save Yemen From Being Wiped Off The Map

Yemen has seen catastrophic conflict for over a decade, and families have been separated as over 4 million people fled for safety. Many are living in unsanitary and overcrowded internally displaced persons’ (IDP) camps. With no access to food, clean water nor healthcare children are dying every day and thousands are sinking into malnutrition or facing deadly diseases.

One of the most affected districts in Yemen is Marib, a semi-dessert area which hosts over two million displaced Yemenis. It is often exposed to drought and the rapid increase in population has placed a further strain on access to water.

Al Mustafa Australia is working hard to alleviate the devastating impacts of poverty & destruction through our food & clean water projects. Additionally, our sustainable housing project & construction of permanent medical clinics provide a longer-term solution and help rebuild Yemen.

Our teams are exclusively working with UN registered partners to provide essential aid.

Food Aid & Bread Bakery

We carry out regular distributions of nutritious food, keeping families fed, healthy and fighting malnutrition.

We carry out regular distributions of nutritious food, keeping families fed, healthy and fighting malnutrition. Our food pack provides a family of five with enough essential food items to keep them fed for an entire month.

To combat hunger and increase food security more sustainably, we are establishing a bread bakery in Yemen which will enables us to distribute freshly baked bread daily, feeding thousands of vulnerable Yemeni families living in IDP camps.

Clean Water

16 million people in Yemen are living without clean drinking water, increasing the spread of deadly disease and illness

We are distributing water tanks each day to camps for displaced people, and hospitals. Each tank carries at least 6000 litres, and benefits hundreds of people daily.

To provide a more sustainable solution to the water problem in Yemen, we are now also constructing solar-powered deep water wells, that will provide clean water to over 5,000 people from two IDP camps, every day, for years to come.
